I had the honor of working with Larry on the masterplan for Alcatraz with my dear pal, Brian O'Neill, the recently deceased charismatic Superintendent of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and with Greg Moore, the passionate leader of the GGNPA. Although Larry and I both originated in New York, we treasured San Francisco as our Home Town. It seems that everywhere one looks in the Bay Area are legacies of Larry's work, Levi Plaza, Market Street, the Presidio, Alcatraz. His wife, Anna, brought dance to Mount Tamalpais and to Marin Beaches. Together, they were a creative force. He will be missed. Our hearts go out to Anna and her daughters and grandchildren.
