Photo Contest 2010 Judges

Judges

Edgar Angelone
Edgar Angelone is a fine art photographer who was born and raised in Argentina. Angelone's informal education in photography followed the path well-known by many photographers of his generation: Kodak manuals, the Ansel Adams series, local photo clubs and trial exhibitions in coffee shops and restaurants.
Angelone has steadfastly pursued his own photography vision and has acquired a reputation for his exquisite Platinum prints, as well as, gelatin silver traditional black and white work. With their complex appearance and rich tonality, Angelone's photographs evoke emotions through feelings and impressions.
Angelone has won numerous prestigious black and white international competitions, has been published in National and International photography magazines, and his work has been shown in galleries throughout the United States, Europe, South East Asia, and South Africa. Some of his photographs reside in the collections of the Marin County Civic Center, The Nature Conservancy, The Wilderness Society, Santa Clara Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, in addition to private collections.

Stuart Schwartz
Stuart Schwartz is an Art Center College of Design graduate with 35 years of advertising photography experience in the U.S. and Europe. He has shot with almost every format camera; worked in studios and on location; dealt with models, stylists, make-up artists and deadlines for demanding, multi-national clients.
As Stuart made the transition from traditional to digital photography, he realized that there was a need in Marin for a photographic solutions center -- a place where people could go to learn the ins-and-outs of digital photography and print high quality images. In November 2008, Stuart opened The Image Flow (www.theimageflow.com). Now Stuart is sharing his wealth of photographic knowledge with his clients. He is an active member of the photographic community in Marin with regular speaking engagements and frequent curating and critiquing assignments.

Kathleen Harrison
Kathleen Harrison is a freelance wedding, portrait and event photographer based in Marin. In over a decade, she has earned a reputation as one of the top wedding photographers in the country. Her classic and creative images have been published in People magazine, Town & Country, InStyle and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazines. When not working, Kathleen likes to play tennis, hike, sail and travel. She lives in San Anselmo with her two children, Kelly and Alexa. Kathleen’s work can be seen at www.kathleenharrison.com.

Graham Law
Graham Law was born and raised in Marin County. He is the owner and operator of Seawood Photo, a unique and popular camera store in San Anselmo. Seawood has been in business for over 60 years with one of the largest collectible camera collections. The store has won Pacific Sun's "Best Camera Store in Marin" 5 times in a row. Graham has also been a commercial advertising photographer for over 20 years, shooting for many of the local Bay Area businesses. He lives with his wife Melissa and their four children in Petaluma, California.
